Reflections with Red, White and Blue

Berlin has got a lot of history, but the rapid (re)development of the past three decades means that there is lots of modern architecture in the city as well. This is probably one of the best and most famous examples: Sony Center near Potsdamer Platz. It is a complex of seven different buildings around a central forum, which is covered by a large glass roof. Apart from Sony’s German headquarters, the buildings house shops, restaurants, a conference centre and other mainly entertainment facilities. The complex was designed by Helmut Jahn and opened in 2000.

Here you can see the large glass roof reflected in one of the surrounding buildings.
