Photographer's Note

This capture was taken with Canon A1 on slide film at Koblenz during a Rhine flood in April, 1983. Koblenz suffered two consecutive floods within six weeks in that spring.
The confluence of Rhine and Moselle rivers, also known as Deutsches Eck, is seen inaccessible. There is also an important detail: Just the flag of the Federal Republic of Germany, but no emperor's statue on the memorial - the latter was not reinstalled before 1993.
Slide film professionally, but not flawlessly digitalized. The red stripes are artifacts from this process.
