Photographer's Note
The Bamberg city hall is built in the middle of the Regnitz river. The people built this by making a man made island in the middle of the river because the bishop would not yield any land to the people.
Bamberg is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in Upper Franconia on the river Regnitz, close to its confluence with the river Main. Bamberg is one of the few cities in Germany that was not destroyed by World War II bombings. Bamberg is home to nearly 7,000 foreign nationals, including over 4,100 members of the United States Army and their dependents. The name Bamberg supposed to have its origin in the House of Babenberg.

Hi Asa,
A fanmous place in Bavaria and a comprehensive image of its main landmark, too bad you've been unlucky with the light and the image lacks some contrast, but sharpness is OK.
Have a nice day JY

Hallo Asa!
You've seen a lot of Germany - and Bamberg truly is worth a visit here. Your picture shows the situation of this building very good. It's a real gem and it nearly looks like a big ship. I like this blue/white Bavarian sky (perhaps you know, blue and white are the colours of the Bavarian flag ;-)
Greetings from an a bit autumnal Germany!

Very astonishing, this town hall built on an artificial island. Architecture is remarkable. The photograph describes the establishment of architecture well. Good work.

Asa, interesting way the Europeans build, on bridges that is, I guess that was all done and passe by the time the US was settled. I get a kick out of the comparison of Europe and Asia at the same time frame, Korea was still living in waddle and daub with thatch roofs at this period. Your shot is nice and clear if a bit dark though the weather surely was a factor. Nice capture.

Hi Asa,
jus a magnificent construction, I saw it myself some or more years ago. Fine lines of the half-timbered construction in front, well managed light even not the best moment I think, but that is luck on such a tour of visits.

Hi Asa,
Really like your POV here catching the two sides of this unique city hall and the inclusion of the two sections of the bridge that splits the swift river.
The colors and sharp details are subperb and this beautiful German architecture is seen wonderfully against the lovely pastel sky.

Hello Asa,
If you didn't tell the purpose of the building I'd guess from the location it is a huge old mill, hehehe!
The details in the typical architecture come well through, and the angle of light adds life to the structure...

A beautifull buiding, with a mixed architecture (stone or the main buiding, and a wooden structre for the extension ) and a rather unusual location apparently on a small island linked by two bridges to the main land.
All the best,

Hi Asa
Its a very nice place, the picture was tooken from a good POV.
But the skylight has inflenced your sensor and gave a little underexposition and that's was normal.
I have done a WS but the setting was difficult for me.
Best regards.
