Photographer's Note
This is the ruins of the Zeplin Field used by the Nazis as a parade ground. The Zeppelin Field (in German: Zeppelinfeld) is located east of the Great Road. It consists of a large grandstand (Zeppelinhaupttribüne) with a width of 360 meters (400 yards) and a smaller stand. It was one of Albert Speer's first works for the Nazi party and was based upon the Pergamon Altar.
In the 1970s, the pillars were removed because of lack of structural integrity. The rest of the stand is intact and used as the centerpiece of the Norisring motor racing track.

Asa,
Very good capture of this sad historical place. Amazing how yo get this without people on them other than the couple of cars and a person. Very nice and neat, good composition. Good sharpness, clarity, and light. Well documented and informed. Thanks

Hello Asa,
Framing is good, and gives the impression to slip by on the track. The sight on this site is interesting, not for the architecturee without heart, but for the historical interest. Excellent and useful work. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hello Asa,
very interesting perspective, good composition! But despite the sunny weather, blue sky and bright colours the building (and the view, in general) produces rather a depressing impression. The shape of the whole structure looks like the shape of a nazi concentration camp...
A bit of the blue and yellow colours don't brighten the impression, anyway...
good photo!
best regards,
Elena

Hi Asa!
Unusual building and unusual architecture photo, there is a kind of "harshness" that fits very well the subject! Nice POV, great framing, composition and diagonal perspective! Congratulations!

Asa,
interesting documentation of this quite historic place. I didn't know about the Zeppelinfeld and this first "work" from Albert Speer. Man, that is ugly! Your image would be complete with some of the racing cars that left some of the rubber trails on the road.

Hi Asa,
Interesting picture of a monument that was built for a quite different time! Probably a good idea to use for a racing track. The colours are good, especially the yellow marks on the ground, that harmonise with the yellow truck in the background.

You have good colour here, Asa,and the frame is nicely filled with these bold, strong shapes. The architecture has a pleasant art deco feel. Historically is is an interesting shot, with a god note to go with it.

Very interesting note for this image of one of the most famous grandstand in the world that probably nobody knows today that it is still in use.
Thanks Asa.
