Pointed tower of Wertheim, a photo from Baden-Wurttemberg, West

Photographer's Note

The pointed tower is Wertheim's leaning tower. In this shot the angle does not shot the amount of lean that this tower actually has. This shot shows how much the tower actually leans. Yes this tower does lean a good bit! I picked the POV that showed the greatest angle of lean for this shot.
This 13th century tower does not lean because of an architectural defect, but because of 800 years of flooding. Wertheim's location on the edge of the Main and Tauber Rivers makes it susceptible to flooding, and many of the old town structures including the Pointed Tower have markers that show just how high the water has been over the centuries.

very fine shot of that impressive building, like your pov including the little water-fontaines in the foreground..the tourist bring in some motion in this picture..

sunny image! I like the colours and the clearly outlined tower:) I thought long about the composition and about the fountain, in particular... the water in it matches the colour of the sky quite well! and its raising water spruts create a good balance of the composition.

It is a at the very least coloured sight. Framing on the fountain creates the depth, and animation. Another interesting image of Germany. Good work.
