Photographer's Note

During my latest walk to the old city of Chalkis's paths, I found many wonderful old houses who are still there and have not demolished yet!

The old city of Chalkis had many wonderful houses and mansions until 1970 where the city was expanded and many high and ugly houses appears.

For now I have this detail of an old house. I promise to make a chronicle for the old houses of my hometown, where the weather conditions (=sunshine) helps!

It's a very good choice you reserved so much space for the very well rendered old wall Babis, 'cause the weathered and cracked textures look great, especially in combination with the peeling blinds. All the stories this house could tell....The deep blue is a fine contrast. Great and very well defined capture!

Interesting detail and again a nice choice of the upward shooting angle, Mpampis. The old wall, the window shutters, and the roof decorations offer quite an array of interesting textures, even more so in the well-saturated colors in which they are presented. Also an interesting play of shadows is going on along the façade.

A beautiful detail shot Mpampis, I like the decorations to the building above, and the soft and warm specially colours on the front, the lantern is a very nice detail.

Very fine view, I like specially the flaking wood on the shutters and the strange sculpture along the roof line. The electric wires and the lamp with its shadow are fine details as well.
I'll be waiting for your chronicle.
