Photographer's Note

****-**** To not upload the picture without a note, I wrote a brief note on the house and the statue of Muhammad Ali.
What are detailed notes on the two previous photos.
The picture that I uploaded to see, the whole area of the building with the statue.
I hope you like it.
The house where he grew Mehmet Ali built in 1720 and maintained until now in very good condition.
The position of the house is such that it has panoramic views from all sides. 'It has two floors and consists of two separate modules that can operate independently, since there are two entrances. In the southern section is the selamlik, which includes areas of daily subsistence and working men and reception areas. The north section is the harem contained spaces for women and more private rooms for all the family. The kitchen is located on the southern section. All but apparently this is from a cabinet, which includes a wooden box, which rotates around a vertical axis. In that women placed the dishes with food without being in sight of men.
The land on which the house is built belongs to the Egyptian government. Outside the house there is a large garden. Until recently, the house operated as a museum.
Beside the house is placed the bronze statue of Mehmet Ali, by sculptor Dimitriadis, which was a gift of the Greeks in Alexandria in Kavala. The unveiling took place on 6/12/1940.

To Maria and Branko.
