Photographer's Note

The last four days an area of 20.000 acres were burnt in West Chios island,in a vertical direction,with thousand of pine trees and mastic trees ("skinos") an average of the 50% of its production to was destroyed.

Unfortunately the pine trees of this beautiful bay of Elinta were burnt this photo will be from now one a good documentary shot about the beauty of the place that now is not exist.

Elinta beach

Going the visitor of the island in a famed near by village,Anavatos,can see from different points,this spectacular sandy beach.

In the west side of Chios,there are situated the most beautiful and pure beaches of the Island and among them the golf of Elinta.
It is a quiet shelter protected from the winds. The sea with the clear deep blue waters and the sandy beach, is an amazing place for swim and sunbathing.

It is a secluded beach, lying on the southernmost edge of the island. Its pure sand and its crystalline emerald waters are a real relight, and give to the whole place an exotic and paradisiacal look.
