Nafplio : The first capital of modern Greece

Nafplio today is a modern, seaside town of 12,000 inhabitants. It has lovely streets populated by beautiful Venetian-style houses and neoclassical buildings, lots of good restaurants, harbor front cafes, and excellent shopping around Constitution Square (Plateia Syntagmatos), including a wide variety of handcrafts, ceramics, and jewelry. The town is quite picturesque and combines the beauty of the Venetian era, with the grandeur of the 19th century neoclassical period.

With the exit from Argos is beginning to form towards your eyes the unique in whole the world icon of the town with the castle - symbol to glass on the water of the Gulf. The most ancient town of the greek place, which according to the mythology, was founded by him, who first thought the idea of the organization of the humans to towns, Thiseas, building the prehistoric town, Nafplia.

The town is lied strong, concrete, under from the imposing Rocks of Palamidiou , the most thundering and complex Venetian Castle East - at least - Mediterranean, enlarge land from his extension, the castle of Akronafplia (point that obviously was building from the first town of the ancient world), but to the water of the Gulf there are the third castle, Bourtzi.

An OK view, however, having visited Nafplio, I have to say, there are more interesting and characteristic POV's in the town.

Anamfisvitita i agapi sou gia to Nafplio einai orati kai sou vgenei.Yperoxi photo me katharotita ,bathos kai leptomeria ,o ligo sinefiasmenos ouranos sinigorei (protimousa tin skepi me ton megalo ogko sto proto plano na elipe). Telos to enimerotiko kalo.

Γειάσου Γιάννη, να φαντάστεις ότι εκεί πήγα απο Βιέννη γαμήλιο ταξίδι και περάσα πανεμορφα, μετα απο χρόνια πήγα μόνος εκέι σε περιοδο καρναβαλιού και πέρασα πάλι τρελά υπέροχα. -¨)))
Πολύ ωραία πεντακάθαρη φωτογραφία με πανέμορφο φωτισμό.

Εξαιρετικής καθαρότητας φωτογραφία με φανταστικά ζωηρά χρώματα. Σχετικά με τον πρώτο γλυκανάλατο χρήστη που λέει ότι υπάρχουν και πιο ενδιαφέροντα σημεία για φωτογράφιση, συμφωνώ μεν αλλά διαφωνώ ότι η φωτογραφία σου δεν παρουσιάζει ενδιαφέρον. Εμένα μου άρεσε πολύ το Ναύπλιο και πιστεύω ότι όπως και να το δεις είναι μια χαρά! Μπράβο δικέ μου!

Great view with lovely weather. The many houses in the foreground create a very nice pattern and I like to see the harbour and the bay in the background. The clouds are a nice addition too the sky. Good work!

Hi John. The deep depth of the composition really jumps out at me as being special. It looks bright out but you handled the light perfectly and the colors seem nice and rich. It's a busy shot but a long way from being overly busy. Excellent shot John!

Hi John,

Good idea turning format to vertical to show the depth of the scenery from details of the roofs in foreground to the mountains in background. I like the clouds making a rhythmic counterpart to the roofs.

Ομορφη η απεικόνιση ενός κομματιού του Ναυπλίου. Εκπληκτική οξύτητα και εξαιρετικά καθαρά χρώματα. Αψογος και ο φωτισμός! Πραγματικά μία απεικόνιση στη λεπτομέρεια. Μου αρέσει και ο ουρανός (λόγω του βάθους) που "σκεπάζει" τα σπίτια. Εξαιρετική δουλειά!!!!

Excellent high POV and choice of vertical format to show the depth of the landscape. You have town, harbour and distant mountains. Light, colours and sharpness are all top-notch.

This is a fine point of view, where the inclusion of red roofs make up a wonderful colour palette!

Μία πολύ ωραία απεικόνιση ενός μικρού κοματιού του πανέμορφου και...ερωτικού Ναυπλίου.
Εξαιρετική οξύτητα με υπέροχα χρώματα και φώς χαρακτηρίζουν την φωτογραφία σου.
Δεν ξέρω εάν θα ήταν καλύτερη σε οριζόντιο κάντρο.
