The "Clock Tower" - Rhodes Old Town
After having taken a tour round the "Old Town" wall and moat I have now decided to make my entrance and give you a taste of this amazing and beautiful medieval town.

After entering, if you follow Orfeos St. from the Grand Master's Palace in a southerly direction, you can visit the clock tower (built after the earthquake of 1851) and the Mosque of Suleiman (which I will show you later). You can climb up to the top for a good panoramic view of the town. The entrance fee is maybe a touch expensive at 6 Euros but I think your ticket can be traded in for a drink at the bar on the way down.

Another interesting place is the Ahmet Hafuz Turkish library (1794) on the other side of the street. Before you is Socrates St., the street with the most commercial activity in the medieval town.
