Photographer's Note
This is an image from the N.W. site of the city. It is under the castle and in the rocks there are carved caves. Inside there where living for thousands of years people. Greeks, Ottomans, Armenians, Gypsies, Bulgarian. Orthodox and Muslims. Nowadays the municipal cleaned the area a few years ago but now it is abandoned. The saturated colors are paintings from in the walls from the Pomaks that where the last people living there. Moreover there was a statue outside of the caves from marble and it was reminding ancient Greek art. Like a mother hugging a child.
