Evros Delta is an important wetland on a national, European and international level. For many years it is a Protected Area, as it has a big value for wildlife and humanity.
In Evros Delta hundreds of thousands of birds find shelter and food all year round, while it constitutes a very important natural resource for the local community, because of his value for fishing, stock breeding, agriculture, climate, flood protection, education, recreation, science.

Hello Costantino,
I like this composition very much. It is simple but quite refined and very elegant. I like the two dark horizontal lines of ground and the swarm of birds making an uneven dark line at the top. The sky, mountains and water have very fine grey tones.

μια ενδιαφέρουσα και ατμοσφαιρική σκηνή, η σύνθεσή σου είναι εξαιρετική, με χάρη και απλότητα αποτυπώνει τον χαρακτήρα του τοπίου και της παρουσίας των πουλιών μέσα σ' συτό. Θαυμάσια η κατανομή του ενδιαφέροντος με τη ρυθμική, σχεδόν, εναλλαγή των οριζόντιων τμημάτων. Επίσης μου αρέσει η αίσθηση της κίνησης και του βάθους, καθώς και η θερμή απόδοση της μονοχρωμίας. A lovely picture of winter nature and landscape. It's very simple, really, but the layers and the flock of birds stretching across the scene makes a delightful variation to the straight lines of the two strips of land. I think the b/w treatment was well chosen to convey the season.

Beautiful black and white view over the calm water. I mostly like the silhouettes of the birds passing by. The mountains in the background look wonderful too. Well captured.

a great composition here, with a high graphical power, because of the stripes on the water and the flying birds. And I love the B&W feeling of the image, though it is a colour picture.
