Mount Athos

Is the centre of Eastern Christian Orthodox Monasticism. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a treasury which houses and guards many artefacts and monuments of religions, national and artistic value. It is also a "workshop" where religions arts and crafts are still practised to this day, and where deep and genuine spirituality is allowed to flourish and bear fruit. As an institution Mount Athos is, and has been, the chief standard bearer of Orthodox Christianity....etc..

Le noir et blanc est parfait pour exprimer une ambiance toute particulière avec ces arbres effeuillés tendant leurs branches en implorant le ciel de les couvrir au printemps.
L'édifice religieux formant le sujet principal s'inscrit parfaitement bien dans cette composition.

Two trees at right increases the dramatism of the scenery.

Another a black and white presentation from you Georgios, perhaps not my favorite color, but this is the choice of the photographer.
I find the picture a little bit dark and difficult to distinguish.
Notwithstanding a good subject.
