A view taken in Oia, small and charming village in Santorin island. White church, whites houses perched on the slopes of these hills and a beautiful blue sea in the BG, so beautiful, of course !

Hello Jean,

This is a beautiful scene!
The white of the bell tower, standing tall, arms open, like a welcoming priest, is so well placed and has enormous impact. The whole of the f/g seems like a busy congregation, listening and watching, the sermon preached over the sea.
I hope my analogy makes sense to you!

The colours and the sharpness of the details, are excellent.

Elles superbe cette image tant par le contraste des couleurs et celui de la lumière crée par ce très bon rendu du blanc.Le POV était idéal pour nous faire admirer ce spectacle.

Salut Jean,
Une vue très spectaculaire de Oia au bord de la caldeira, dans une composition magnifique.
J'aime le contraste entre le village blanc avec ses quelques bâtiments aux couleurs vives et le brun monotone des falaises et le bleu de la mer.
Le clocher simple offre un très beau premier plan.

La distance entre le clocher et les montagnes au loin donne de la profondeur à l'image. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des maisons et des montagnes. La bonne luminosité fait ressortir la beauté des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

A location that is a champion on TE, Jean, yet every new photo from there is intriguing and amazing.
Fine view of the Caldera, village with white houses blue small domes, all built on the steep cliff "falling" to sea.

Bonjour Jean,
this is a breath taking composition. I like very much the little bell tower with such an unique design.
Even though this island is so often photographed I don't recall seeing this one before.
You have selected a perfect point of view with the white tower set against the dark blue sea. They contrast nicely and yet both are well recorded to the high quality.
The depth of the field is amazing with the rocks on the horizon being crispy sharp. We can also admire the fragment of the town, nicely built on the slopes of the volcano.
