“Great place for kite and windsurfing, for dogs, and for more relaxed atmosphere”

We went there wind-surfing seven days in a row. The wind-surfing school is great ( I believe there are actually two wind-surfing schools, we tried Surf Camp Keros) - the teachers were very nice and we even got to surf some time for free. Everyone is very relaxed, speaks good English and extremely helpful. There is also a little snack bar from which you can get drinks or sandwiches as well as some umbrellas and hammocks. It seems there are many people who also just go there to lay on the hammocks and relax, not everyone goes there for the sports. Water is shallow and there are many seashells. Expect some animals - we were always with our dog, but there were usually another 3-4 dogs. No problems with dogs on the beach, which is very rare for Greece. So if you want to take your pet, don't worry that you will be forbidden to enter the beach.

Hi Danos

The temperature in Pristina is forecast to drop from 17-34c today down to 4-24c on Tuesday. Autumn & the end of Summer are not far off. A sweet memory during the colder days ahead. Excellent sharpness, color and saturation. Good graphism of the solitary thatched umbrella. Tfs.

Hello Danos,
This looks like an almost idel beach, at least from this angle and cropped this way it looks almost deserted. The naturally made parasol and the few sunbeds are nice details and provide some glimpses of odd colours. But the photo is dominated by the great view of the almost unbroken horizon. You have captured a fina and very quiet looking atmosphere with beautiful colours.

The natural umbrella is positioned perfectly in this expansive view of the Aegean. This is a most alluring image of the beach and warm waters. As we leave the summer, I am envious of our friends down under New Zealand and Australia, who will be savoring their summer months.

Hi Danos,

The distance between the beach and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. It is well divided, the sky, the sea and the beach. The point of view is showing the details of the beach of the chairs and of the parasol. Have a nice day.

πολύ ωραία και απλή σύνθεση που αφήνει ελεύθερο χώρο για σκέψεις και απολογισμούς σχετικά με το καλοκαίρι που πέρασε (ίσως μόνο ημερολογιακά, αφού η ζέστη συνεχίζεται.) Μου αρέσει πολύ ο άπλετος χώρος, το φως και τα χρώματα καθώς και το αεράκι που αντιλαμβανόμαστε κοιτάζοντας τη θάλασσα. Επίσης, είναι ενδιαφέρον ο έμμεσος τρόπος με τον οποίο δηλώνεται η ανθρώπινη παρουσία. Συγχαρητήρια και ευχαριστώ!

Hi Danos,i have a pic very similatr from Greece taken in Crete some year ago,the summer is close to the end and maybe this is the best moment to enjoy the greek sea.Beautiful minimalistic composition,well sharpened and very bright,i like it! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

The title is very appropriate for this scene, a lonely straw umbrella on an inviting beach. The magenta colors of the few beach items introduce some cheer.
