Photographer's Note

The most famous building of Corfu: The palace built by Empress Elisabeth of Austria named after her favourite greek hero Achill. 1860 Empress Elisabeth was suffering from a bad cough and she went to Corfu for a climate change. The island impressed her and between 1889 and 1891 she let built this small palace.

Hello Roland,

The Empress waited quite a lot of time to build this villa. It is not big but very beautiful. Lovely picture with the fine architecture and beautiful cypresses and yucca.

The old architects, this where great artists when you can see this wonderful building.
Great architecture picture with lovely details.
