Photographer's Note

Nafplio (Ναύπλιο)is a beautiful seaport town that was the capital of Greece from 1829 to 1834. Most of the old town is on a peninsula jutting into the Argolic Gulf in the northeast Peloponnese; this peninsula forms a naturally protected bay that is enhanced by the addition of man-made moles. The area surrounding Nafplio has been inhabited since ancient times though little sign of this remains within the town. The town has been a stronghold at several times in history. Nafplion is a port, with fishing and transport ongoing, although the primary source of local employment currently is tourism. (info from Wikipedia)

my fisheye and I noticed this photo opportunity while walking in the streets of the old town but realized that the reflections on the Mercedes were much darker than the rest of the scene to render both of them properly with a single shot. so I took 3 shots of the scene @ EV 0,-2,+2 which I later tonemapped in Photomatix to get a more balanced result that is closer to the situation I experienced.

Technically strong; pin sharp and lovely saturated colours. You made good use of the fisheye lens and managed to make an original and striking image. Nice!

Hello Kostas,
You've seen a great photographic opportunity and you've taken it extremely well. Fantastic idea to capture the reflections in the car window and on it's shiny paintwork, and the composition is superb. Ireally like the curved lines and angles you've captured, both in the car reflections and the fisheye result of the buildigs. Very well done.

Hello Kostas, A first rate photograph with a telephoto lens. (At a one-day Nikon course I attended in December last month) I saw the 10.5 mm lens demonstrated. This is a superb shot, of the sky and building reflected in on the trunk of a Mercedes. After I clear some room among my favorites, I will store this one away there.
