Photographer's Note

Dear TrekEarth users,

Due to there's a system error of both TrekNature and TrekLens today, there's no other forum to me at this very moment to share fungal beauties. What you see on my pic is the Velvet Foot (Flammulina velutipes), one of the very few edible fungi of the late autumn / winter period here in the Northern hemisphere. Growing on living or dead, mostly deciduous softwood like willow (Salix spp.), alder (Alnus spp.) or poplar (Populus spp.).

Photo: shot near Ómassa village in the Bükk mountains; out of hand, no flash. PP (Photoshop CS2): auto levels, slight gamma correction, framing, re-sizing, selective sharpening, noise reduction, signing.

Eventhough I don't, or better said my photography doesn't really belong to TrekEarth, because I'm more or less a macro freak hunting for fungi, I hope you'll like the pic. Thanx in advance for your comments.
