Photographer's Note

The weather in Iceland is constantly changing. All of a sudden a photo opportunity emerges when you least expect it. This photo was taken on the way back to my hotel after having visited the Hallgrímskirkja, the Church seen on the left hand side in the photo. The church was designed in 1937 by the Islandic architect Guðjón Samúelsson. The construction of the church started in 1948 and was not finished until 1986. The height of the spire is 74.5 meters. It is the landmark no. 1 of Reykjavik

Det verkar som om du hade ganska bra väder under ditt Islands besök. Himlen här är verkligen iögonfallande, vackra färger och dramatisk stämning. Den fint placerade kyrkan i bilden förstärker den speciella stämningen. Häftig bild!

Hej Ulf,
Det tog sin runda tid, men den här kyrkan blev i alla fall klar, vilket man inte kan säga om La Sagrada Familia i Barcelona. Tornet är nästan lika imponerande, åtminstone som siluett i det här kvällsljuset. En vädigt fin solnedgång och vackra moln på den här stämningsfulla bilden.
