Photographer's Note
As I have already written earlier, when we reached Skogafoss, my batteries were empty and I could take only one picture. I was so angry (at myself, it is the worst). I found fascinating not the waterfall itself, but what was behind the water. Not the best quality but maybe you would see what the pictures I lost.

Hello Malgo,
We can all learn form our mistakes. I have bought another spare battery since I heard about your unfortunate problems. Interesting composition. The people nicely dispersed about the frame give scale and some splashes of colour to relieve all that white. A fascinating sight.

Hello, Malgo!
The view looks really impressive, and the people are a great scale to the scene! The strong colors of some of the people's clothes make the composition even more interesting! Beautiful job!

Hi Malgo,
This is an impressive waterfall. The presence of the people is adding life to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of Skogafoss and the items behind the waterfall. Have a nice day. Regarding the batteries, it also happened to me.

Ciao Malgo, not the best quality but enough to watch the show of the frozen waterfalls, fantastic moment of the Iceland season, maybe the most cold week of the year, and the show is obviouly great. About my pic,i climb just the half of 320 mt to reach the mount, the rest with the car..ehehe..have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Malgo,
Perhaps slightly unsharp (like all of my scanned photos), but we get a very good idea anyway of the height and impressive size of the waterfall. The people watching this natural wonder are nicely spread out from left to right.
Was it only the low temperature that drained your batteries, or did you just take too many photos in other places before you got here?
Kind regards,
Gert

Ciao Malgo,
Quelle chance tu as eu de visiter cet endroit en hiver. La glace colle à tout et offre de belles formes et de très jolies textures. Plusieurs au sol semblent apprécier.

Hello Malgo,
A great photo of the visitors in front of the waterfall, who look so tiny compared to the falling water. The white and icy rocks on both sides look very impressive as well.

Hello Malgo,
There was no snow at this waterfall when we visited in summer. However, the rain was torrential so it didn't matter getting even wetter with the spray! Your photo shows the ice formations very well and the colourful jackets are super against the white and grey background.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Malgo, the tight framing seems to emphasise the size and force of the waterfall.
Delightful textures.
Interesting to see all the people and their reactions to nature.
Regards Jean.

Ciao Malgo
la presenza delle persone da vita al luogo, oltre che dare qualche tocco di colore e farci impressionare per la grandezza della natura circostante.

Hello Malgo,
It is still an impressive photo with all the frozen water next to the falls. I like the colorful jackets of some of the tourists.

malgo
a nice image with the colorful public in front. the texture and the pinnacles of ice at side are fabulous and I presume they were your main interest. anyway a nice job.
I had problems with lower charge in batteries and many other troubles with cameras in my trips, once my brand new camera almost fell down inside beagle canal.
take care

I am enjoying the exploration of your collection. Many worthy of comment. The falls looks so different in winter. I would guess the steps to the top are difficult if not closed. It is a special place and I am sure you were very frustrated wanting to take so much more than this photo only. Like you I have learned the hard way and now take 4-5 batteries and extra chargers, cords, and memory cards and an extra simpler camera just in case. Yet rushed out still leaving the whole bag at the hotel. Always on the very best of photo moments. Must always backup everything.
You have a great collection drt100 david
