I loved the white vast areas of Iceland. What a great joy to go there even if it was rather cold. I was so lucky with the weather though. I was happy all the time seeing the horses. Here the way somewhere on the road to Arnarstapi - a small fishing village.

A lovely panoramic composition from a snow clad Iceland. The horses trying to find something to eat I guess are well placed and make a delightful focal point. I really like the lights and colours and the excellent sharpness. Have a nice Sunday afternoon.

The scenery is fantastic and the horses are beautiful. Since they can't find much food here they have nothing else to do than to just stand there and wait for their owner to feed them. Lucky for them they probably don't have a concept of time and won't find it boring. ;-) The roads you have shown look pretty dangerous. Were your drivers used to icy roads covered with snow?

By Jove, these horses must be pretty tough to be able to withstand the cold in this place!

Two beautiful panoramic views of this snow covered landscape beneath a glorious clear blue sky and with fine bright sunlight. The road conditions look pretty treacherous so I hope your transport was safe.

Witaj Malgo,
this is a great capture. I like the dark blue sky and the bright low light with the shadows giving a structure to the landscape. And icelandic horses are always nice to see. The panoramic format fits also very well. I have been there in summer but the sky was grey nearly all of the time.

I have read a number of books from Icelandic Nobel Prize winner Halldór Laxness. It tells how important horses have always been for the Icelanders and how hard the winters used to be when there were hardly any roads.

Wow, what an amazing landscape. I like the warm glow of the sunlight on the snowy mountain slopes. The blue sky makes a great backdrop too and the road leads very nicely to them. The clarity was superb!

The road is sending my eyes toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The horses are a good addition to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. Have a nice dya.

Malgorzata, In winter, the landscape turns totally white covered by a blanket of snow. No houses are found here, only a group of Icelandic horses can be seen on the right. Fine colors, sharp picture
