Photographer's Note

Here is another photo in my Iceland Drone series.

I'll try my best to find the location on the map using the GPS co-ordinates from the drone data.

You can clearly see the road I was driving on, and its always fun to see the areal view for contrast. The photo may look dirty on the right hand side in the water, but that's not dirt or a dirty lens, that's just natural debris on the water surface.

The height of this flight was 1600 feet or 505 metres. And as you can see there is only 1 or two buildings in this entire scene, not much around here for miles and miles. I'm about as North as you can possible get in Iceland, please take a look at the map.

Hello Craig,
It's an impressive view and photo, and all I miss is you standing down there waving a red or white sheet at the drone. I doubt that the beach is as nice as it looks.

Hello Craig,

Not many people will get this view of the north of Iceland. In fact, it would appear that not many people see this area from the ground either, as there is so little evidence of people.
We get a superb, uninterrupted view of the coast, the relative narrow coastal plain and the contrasts between rich blue of the ocean and the vivi green of the land.

I am curious, is the road in good condition for such a lonely place?

The drone has a very good lens. The point of view is showing the details of the land, of the mountain and of the sea. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig, looking at the map, I get a real impression of the remoteness of this particular place.
The colours are wonderful.
The textures of the land, all those different shades of green are beautiful.
The shadows of the clouds add to the picture.

An impressive aerial shot from the drone, with good sharpness and colour. I like the road at left leading us right up to the horizon line. A nice warm colour colour contrast too between the yellow green grass and blue water. Tfs!

hello Craig, your drone makes stunning pictures. Looks like taken from the plane. Amazing colours and sharpness. This part of Iceland is impossible for me to reach, as I have no driving licence and there is no public transportation in the remote area. But at least I can see such photos.

Indeed, an almost uninhabited part of the country.
Yet we also see some smaller roads running through the landscape. No idea whether or not they are driveable.
The beach seems to be about the widest path.
Stunning blue-green contrast.

Hello Craig,
Again your drone was handy to show coast line of Iceland with famous road which surrounds the island.
The country is very sparsely populated with only a few visible buildings.
