This lake has a special name…a lovely one ..Lake of life and I love the colors there in autumn.Why do I say this?Because in Iceland wer not forests and hard to see yellow leaves …

Really nice photo, you've got great colours, the composition is wonderful, including those swans (?) swimming, and the houses to give the sense of dimension. But the best item is the range of colours, simply great!
Your photo would have been perfect if it hadn't had the horizon tilted!

Like a painting with the most beautiful colours and vibrant lights...
Yes the name of the lake goes so well with it. Great contrast in the materials, water so fine with the reflections and grass/earth more consistent, I like the signs of human life, the swans, the details in the rocks. A very peaceful atmosphere, a place to linger...Well done Anes!

Having been there years ago at the beginning of autumn, yes, the colours are like that, like in another world...

Lovely colors and composition, with the ducks balancing the buildings. The tilt doesn't bother me the way it does other people. It does look slightly oversaturated, but that could be the real colors, yes?

It would have been a great picture if you had corrected the tilt. Other than that, the colours are striking and very beautiful. Lots of simple details on the picture such as the ducks in the water, the houses on the right and the bare rocks all over the place. Well done.

I think you do lots of good works these days Annellise. As here - good use of the pano format with a fine inclusion of the birds on the lake and also interesting for scaling the inclusion of the houses in the back. Well balanced compo with regard to light and saturation. The one thing you could have adjusted is the little tilt in the water line there.

Pleasing saturated view Anes there, contrasts on top, i had difficulties for the first 10 sec of looking this picture to handle with framing (perhaps the houses on top left of the compo) then i get used to it and deep into it.
As i'm trying a reflexion today i can only applaude yours

Beautiful colors here Anellise. Autumn has really landed on Iceland. I am still waiting for it here in Portugal... :) The golden feeling across the frame gives a very beautiful atmosphere to this one and that settlement of houses in the left anchors the shot very well. Nice!

Everything works well in this composition Anes,
As Peter admitted colours make this landscape. Taking a closer look you may see all the details which are truly beautiful here.
At first I wanted to propose moving camera a bit to the right placing the white house just a bit more to the centre of the composition, just a bit from the edge of the picture, but then I say this little red house and I thought I should shut up...
Although I get the impression, that it falls a bit to the right, I will only say BRAVO, and shut up again...

Hey,

The colours on the hillside are stunning and their reflection is lovely in the water too. To improve the composition I would have moved the buildings into the frame more so that they are 1/3rd from the right. Also, it might be the curve of the lake giving a false impression but the horizon looks wonky. I would level this up, as leaving it I think creates a distraction.

Finally as a seperate shot, next time I would zoom in to exclude the lake so that you can feature just the buildings and the wonderful coloured mountain behind.

I have been meaning to visit Iceland for a couple of years now. Hopefully next year - it looks like an incredible place.
