Fanad In Evening Light, a photo from Donegal, North

Photographer's Note

The sun was going down fast on Fanad Lighthouse but managed to give this lovely highlight to the headland before finally disappearing below the horizon.
Fanad Lighthouse is located on the Fanad Peninsula that lies between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay on the north coast of County Donegal in Ireland.

Hello Derek - A breathtaking landscape shot, I love your composition with the vividly sunlit grass pointing directly at the sunlit lighthouse. What a magical moment and a landscape photographer's dream. You have a wonderful sky; the clouds appear to radiate from just behind the lighthouse and are very well defined with soft colours and well managed highlights. So many lovely textural detail too. Simply amazing capture, I can look at the seascape hours long and still will long for more next day...:)

Very good pov, the frame is interesting and diverse from the botton line up to the top, sharpness/colour wise superb, beautifully composed shot all together. Congratulation !!!

The more I see photo's of Ireland the more I wish to visit here.
the low laying cloud coverage really adds a visual punch, its almost as if we can reach up and touch them.
lovely rocky and craggy landscape, breath taking scenery.
looking forward to seeing more.

this is a stunning picture. the light here is quite magical and you have captured it perfectly. excellent viewpoint taking in the cliffs, the lighthouse and the coastline beyond. the sky and clouds are incredible and complete a wonderful picture.
