Cliffs of Moher...Ireland. Repost in Workshop

There are many aspects of the Irish countryside that are both stunning in appearance and moving in effect. Where mountain and sea collide in steep cliffs, their combined splendor can be stupefying in its appeal.

The moher cliffs are up to 700ft high in places and extends 5 miles along the coast. It is made up of dark yellow sandstone and millstone grit, the layers of which can be seen near the top of the cliffs. Being almost vertical, their sheer drop into the heaving Atlantic ocean is a haven for sea birds and the view from the top is never tiresome.
