Photographer's Note

This is Carnivan Bay, well known for its large waves its popular with people surfing and canoeing. It can be a dangerous beach too, as there are strong undercurrents.

If you saw the shot of the sprat being eaten by the sand hoppers, this is the beach that they were on.

This kind of shot is a favourite of mine, I love the cold blue tones that dawn gives off, it reminds me of a couple I have posted. nice composition, with a good DOF and a long enough exposure to render the sea perfect. Well done!!!

I like the evening atmosphere you've managed to create in this picture. The long exposure, which is well chosen, gives a smooth aspect to the waves breaking on the beach. The distant light underlines the isolation of the place.

Hello Davy,
A magnificent sight of this very beautiful place.
I like these blue colors at night and a little bit pink sky on the horizon.
Excellent pov and centring which give an attractive perspective.
