Photographer's Note
We were on a tour bus stopped at a red traffic light. I suddenly spotted the billboard hanger on a tall ladder. I had just enough time to pick up my camera and capture the scene before the light turned green and the bus moved on. The man featured in the billboard, possibly a footballer, I thought, was pointing at the billboard hanger with a disapproving gesture. At least, the ladder was stabilized by a pair of long cables.
Unhappily, I was shooting through the tinted window of the bus, but the moment was priceless. There was limited color correction I could do on the photo. Accordingly, I decided to render it into B&W. I will, however, upload the color version as a ws.
In googling the website of Waterford Harvest Festival, I found the following:
"Waterford Harvest Festival is a city-wide festival celebrating food heritage and culture in Waterford. Join us for a fantastic weekend of fun filled foodie events. Since pagan times, the harvest festival has been a time to celebrate the crop, for family and the wider community to relax and enjoy the fruits of their labours. Waterford Harvest Festival recreates a modern version of this traditional feast and celebratory period, with foodie fun and educational events for all and children's entertainment across the city. The festival takes place from the 12th - 14th September 2014 and encourages people from Waterford, the rest of Ireland and beyond to gather together and experience an exciting range of culinary delights."

Selamlar Bülent Bey,
Interesting photo of the futbolcu pointing to the worker. I like the shadows in the frame. I am trying to imagine how this would look in color or in partial color.

Hello Bulent, Luckily you were very fast with your camera to shoot this fantastic scene. I like this version in the black and white. It has something like from the old movies. Great view of the man on the ladder and his shadow. superb picture.

Hi Bulent
This is the kind of image I am looking for, a street scene with some interaction between the real life and the advert. Keep up!
I just see the B&W and thought it was OK, the colored one gives another kind, we are spotting the vibrant colors
Cheers

Dear Bulent,
It is an excellent capture. Everything really fits here, you utilized the accidental possibility of capturing something unique very well here. I added to my favourites.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Bonjour, cher ami Bulent,

Hello, Bulent!
The color version in the workshop is also great, but it was a great idea converting it to black and white, because the colors don't overshadow the man, who is the main element here! Very nice framing and sharpness! Great job!

Hello Bülent,
This fits one of your favourite themes very nicely: the interaction between art and onlookers, in this case being a commercial poster and a worker. I admire your quick reaction to this brilliant opportunity. I like both versions but B&W puts it in a very old category of observations of daily life in the streets. I really love the sharp triangle formed by the ladder and its shadow.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bulent,
Fine capture of this rather humorous moment. I like the choice of black and white, which seems ideally suited to the subject.

Hello dear Bulent
Playful shot, well spotted & well captured. Just in time, it seems. My favourite element is the shadow of the man and ladder on the billboard.
Keep up against...

Hello Bulent,
Rightly uploaded as a B&W for the main picture, though I like both as well.
This was really a "priceless" moment as stated, a funny one as the footballer pointed gesture at the man on the ladder.
Nice swift and unexpected action, always worth the try.
Good afternoon,

Hello Bülent,
The colours look great on the picture in the WS!
Too often cities look grey. So I prefer the coloured version.
Beautiful with the ladder and its shadow running towards each other on the top.
Pretty interaction between a real person and a picture on a billboard.
Best regards, Paul

Dear Bulent,
On your question, the most beautiful is your second colour picture, but this is personal.
This is a nice moment picture; but through the dark windows of the bus is this real wonderful.
We must look, more than one minute to the pictures, we can much see.
Composition and presentattion is superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,

Hello Bulent
I prefer your version with partly colours. The text HARVEST needs to be seen in colours I think. The B&W is moody and gives the idea of a picture for, let’s say, 40 years ago.
Excellent presentation
Have a nice day

Hello Bulent,
Great daily life photo of this man changing the huge billboard advertisements. The B&W works very well here, especially because of the shadows of the ladder and the cables. Very well spotted and captured!

Hi Bulent
Great timing to have the character pointing at the man putting up the poster and this looks great in the high contrast black and white. Unique scene, and I'm surprised that guy is not using a cherry picker instead of that huge ladder! The guy in the top ad is actually a radio presenter called dermot Whelan, he does a morning show on radio. The ad campaign was for awareness of men's health. Nice capture!
Cheers

Hello Bulent,
This is the sort of shot for which you cannot prepare!
How lucky that you were alert enough and had your camera to hand to capture it, before the bus progressed!
Like you, I find the gesture of the footballer in a perfect drama with the billboard applier!
It's a really funny shot.
Don't make any apologies for using b&w, the message is really succinct!
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hello Bulent,
I prefer the B/W version that you chose as the main photo. The shadows of the ladder stand out more. You composed this funny scene perfectly, and it's very eye-catching. We never know what gems might pop up around us. :-)

Hi Bulent
oh man, this scene is just screaming out loud for a photographer to capture it!
love the long long ladder legs and the shadow is casts.
As a man who is afraid of ladders, you could never get me up here like that! seems so dangerous.
wonderful shot, you couldn't have asked for anything more!
talk about taking advantage of the situation.
cheers

Hello Bulent,
I'm very glad you took this picture and managed to frame and light it so well. Your composition is so elegant and thorough, the frame full and the featured elements interacting, it would be hard to guess that this was a spontaneous capture through a window. The greys and the shadows are wonderful, I love the eye contact and the interaction. The worker's shadow seems to have a personality of its own. Great work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,
Ourania

Hello Bulent
This is a fabulous shot. I prefer it in this b&w version. The long ladder and its shadow really has a great visual impact on the scene. It looks like a dangrous job. Very well done in that limited time you had:)

Dear Bulent
What a fantastic photo, it's absolutely timeless and looks like something out of the 1950s. The play of light and shade here are really special and helps to accentuate that feeling of timelessness. A beautifully seen, composed and realised photo. Congratulations.
Hugs
