Photographer's Note
I took this shot on a cold but sunny Saturday morning in Merrion Square in Dublin nearly two years ago. This lampost is one of many that lines the streets of the square which is bounded by beautiful Georgian houses with a wonderful public park at its centre. This square is one of only a few examples of this type of architecture remaining in a city that is fast becoming more and more over run with modern building styles.
This particular square is the home to (among other things), the Natural History Museum, the National Gallery of Ireland, The Football Association of Ireland and Government Buildings.
