Happy birthday Tiberius Bridge, 1998 year ago....

Bridge of Tiberius (Italian: Ponte di Tiberio) is a Roman bridge in Rimini, Italy, an impressive work of architecture and it's one of the best preserved bridges from the Roman period. The bridge features five semicircular arches with an average span length of ca. 8 m. Construction work started during Augustus' reign and was finished under his successor Tiberius in 20 AD; an inscription thus calls the structure as "given by both emperors".
The bridge was the only crossing of the Marecchia not destroyed by the retreating German army during the Battle of Rimini and is said to have resisted all attempts at destruction, including the ignition failure of explosive charges.
The bridge is still open to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, with the exception of heavy goods vehicles.
Tiberius Bridge became a national monument in 1885.

pure il titolo "ci sta"! (forse perché mi sono ascoltato a palla la "schottische Symphonie" di Mendelssohn mentre rientravo in Italia oggi...)

Hi Fellini,

My eye was caught by your TE thumbnail image on their big screen, and upon viewing, I am very impressed by the multiple artistic qualities of your 'vision'.

The mirroring of the Rimini Roman arched bridge and golden village in the varying blues and clouds, all in fine contrast. What's not to like,,,,

Hi Alessandro,

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the spectacle with beautiful bridge of Roman times, calm river and tasteful houses a t left side. The light is managed well, too. And, the reflection projected to the river draws out a good atmosphere as well blue sky with thick cloud.

Hello Alessandro, A fine eye-catching shot. The cloud formation and reflections are dynamic and give a wonderful liveliness to the shot and of course the light is magnificent. this view is wide, dynamic, dramatic, and fascinating. I love the depth and perspective created by the bank, the bridge and the clouds, the amazingly lustrous reflection of the whole upper half of the picture, the golden light under the arches. Wonderful composition and excellent presentation with perfect perspective to get very strong sense of dept like a three- dimension and very good light management to get very nice reflection of an impressive work of semicircular arched bridge and dramatic puffy clouds on the water , well sharpness,fine contrast ,clarity and superb colors.

Accidenti che foto. La bellezza della tua foto e' proprio pazzesca. Adoro i riflessi, i cieli ed il ponte strepitoso. Perfetta la resa cromatica e lo sharp. Lo so bene che abitate lontano dal epicentro dai terremoti, ma ho pensato di voi molto nei giorni recenti. Spero che tutto e' a posto.
