Big Sun, a photo from Rome, Lazio

Photographer's Note

In winter it frequently happens to see the going down of the sun that have giant dimensions amplified from the low position on the horizon, here an example from the balcony of my kitchen.

Hi Vinicio,
It's quite a special sunset. Even the sun hasn't overexposed, it's clearly yellow, not white. Hot red colour on the upper sky, nice details on clouds and many contours of land on the lower edge. Yuo are lucky with your kitchen views too!

I like it so much, especially the layering effect on the bottom. I dont mind about the centering of the sun.

Hello Vinicio.
I too have these giant sunsets near my home. It is hard to get to the right spot to capture them here though. I really like the cloud cover here. The beautiful orange with the blood red along the top of the clouds is excellent. Very well framed dropping the sun dead center.

I love sunsets and this photo is spectacular! The comosition is excellent. I wonder how this would look if the sun is off-centered? But hey, it's just a thought... you're a better photographer so I'm sure you know better. :-)
