Photographer's Note

I took this photograph at 10:00 in the morning on the 10th October last during a visit to Rome. The picture is taken in the Vatican Museum en route to the Sistene Chapel.

It is an area that has a lot of people passing through so capturing a shot is quite difficult. I was also not allowed to use my tripod which made it even more difficult in low light areas. I had to use a high ISO setting to try to capture the picture quickly before being knocked over by the crowd coming behind me. Unfortunately it is also a little out of focus at the lower levels due to rushing the shot.

For this photo I have attempted to keep the image as true to reality as possible. The intense colour on the ceiling is as it appears in real life.

I would recommend to anyone who has an interest in photography to go to Rome. There are so many incredible photo opportunities for both day and night shots. Just make sure to bring someone along who likes photograpy too or else you will be taking pictures of the dog house when you get home!
