Photographer's Note

Hello folks.
This is the Piazza del Campidoglio. It is very close to the Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II. The square has got a very unique and beautiful pattern which you see very well here. The square was designed and created by Michelangelo 1536-1546, the famous Italian painter, sculptor, architect and artist.
The statue is a replica and represents the Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. The original is in the nearby Capitoline Museum.
Here is a closer view of the statue.
