Photographer's Note

The boat we were supposed to take from Manarola to Corniglia just arrived from Riomaggiore and as usual it was full of tourist. As the passengers start to get off the boat I noticed the beautiful lighting. I may be shooting against the light but the reddish yellow tint is beautiful. I took three shots and this the best I got.

The Cinque Terre are five coastal villages in the province of La Spezia in the Liguria region of Italy. They have come to be among the most popular areas of Italy among tourists. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all encapsulated in a national park by the same name. The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The five villages are, from east to west: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterrosa Al Mare.
