La Chiesa di S. Francesco all'Immacolata è uno degli angoli più scenografici dell'intera quinta prospettica di Noto, dove architettura ed urbanistica trovano un felicissimo connubio.
Costruita fra il 1704 e il 1745 su progetto degli architetti Vincenzo Sinatra e Rosario Gagliardi, con l’annesso ex convento (in gran parte sede universitaria) è fra i più imponenti edifici religiosi di Noto.
Nell’armoniosa facciata, aggettante su una imponente scalinata a tre rampe (di cui una aggiunta nei primi dell’800, dopo l’abbassamento del manto stradale), spicca il bel portale fiancheggiato da artistiche colonne barocche e tre nicchie, di cui due ai lati e una più piccola sopra il portale.
Un’artistica statua marmorea dell’Immacolata del 1787, in sostituzione di quella calcarea del 1704 adorna il piano rialzato antistante il convento.

The Church of S. Francesco to the Immaculate is one of the angles more scenograficis than the whole perspective scene of Noto, where architecture and urbanism find a happy match.
Built between 1704 and 1745 on project of the architects Vincenzo Sinatra and Rosario Gagliardi, with the attached ex convent (to a large extent university center) it is among the most imposing religious buildings of Noto.
In the harmonious façade, projecting on an imposing stairway to three ramps (of which an addition in the first ones of the 800, after the lowering of the road mantle), it detaches the beautiful portal flanked by artistic baroque columns and three niches, of which two to the sides and a smaller above the portal.
A 1787 artistic marmoreal statue of the immaculate one, in 1704 substitution of that calcareous it decorates the plan raised again before the convent.

Bravo Maurizio. Ottima scenografia che ci fa ammirare la bellezza architettonicadel sito. Il POv decentrato e dala basso invita lo sguardo risalire la gradinata sino a raggiungere il portone illuminato. Esaltante la prospettiva netta del palazzo di sinistra.

This is a well composed shot using the stairs to lead the eye into the shot. The angle of the shot works well creating depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

Non esagera chi dice chequì hai raggiunto....più della sommità della scalinata.
Coma ama mario che guarda (come un barbiere) barbae capelli che si noti la distinzione di ciascuno, lo raggiungi, balconcino per balconcino ed a seguire, gradini, voluti, punti ecc. ecc.

C'est encore un très beau spécimen de l'architecture religieuse italienne. La lumière sur ces façades ocres donne de très jolis ton miel. L'escalier monumental met l'édifice en valeur.

sono rimasto colpito dall'inquadratura sin dalla miniatura, veramente molto ben realizzata.
Buona anche l'esposizione ed i colori.
Per quanto riguarda la nitidezza, ricordati di non usare mai i diaframmi più aperti, perchè si evidenziano i limiti dell'ottica.

What a picture! Splendid baroque architecture. Imposing stairs. It looks a bit abandoned, there is no one there, everything is closed. Good colors. Fantastic composition.
