Porta al Rivellino era una delle tre porte di ingresso all'antico borgo di Certaldo Alto.
Da qui si gode una bellissima vista sulla vallata e per questo era anche la porta più fortificata, perché era posta proprio di fronte al confine con la nemica Siena.

Very interesting buildings photographed in a light that somehow makes me think of a surrealist painting. I am curious of the wall painting in the background. Will we see a closer view of it tomorrow?

Quel bel endroit. On voit que ces pierres ont de l'âge et des textures et quoi de mieux que cette superbe lumière pour les mettre en valeur. Beau contraste d'ombre et de lumière.

quel rendu sur la pierre quelle couleur ocre et jaune sueprbe et quelle tour et ce passage tout en arche ces escaliers ce pavage l'herbe quei poussent entre les pierres sueprbe.

I love the warm light illuminating the old walls and adding a wonderful, warm glow to them. The contrast with the shaded background is great as well.

I like the warm cold color contrast between the reddish brown bricks and the blue sky. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. The green grass and weeds add a splash of greenery. Tfs!

this one caught my attention for sure, i like the 3D like visual effect, the warm and cool tones contrasting each other, the blue sky and the old historic structure itself. the shot has a lot of visual impact. cheers

lovely gate -clearly old style, but the most important is here the brilliant light which contributes the warm colors and good shades.
The geometry is interesting too with all the lines.
Great sharpness allows us to almost feel the rough surface of the walls.
