Kayaks on the Arno?, a photo from Florence, Tuscany

Photographer's Note

Just an ordinary Thursday, late afternoon in Florence...I never realized that kayaking was a popular Italian sport, much less expected to see kayaks on the Arno! A cliché view, it's true, from the Ponte Vecchio...but still, the colors of Italy are festive and the kayaks add a modern note.
I wonder why TE does not list Italy's states - it has only cities. This is Tuscany, of course.

Hello Sara - A move away from you usual style with this shot. It is excellent. The light and soft warm colours are magical and the atmosphere is beautifully serene. Hello Dear Sara !

This is a very peaceful image. The surface of the water is so serene and clean. The reflected architecture along the side of the river is simply wonderful to see and to experience. The image is almost as good as being there in the scene. The spotless sky and the spotless water, I can only dream of encountering a view like this in reality. The stone railing of the bridge upon which you stand adds an additional depth to the photo. Well composed, well exposed and perfectly executed, the image invites all those who see the image in your gallery to the moment you have lived with the scene.
