Hello Carlos,

I am delighted to see a photo embodying two of my passions. As an old rower, and the father of a rower (he was captain of the Princeton University Crew, and US National Champions in an eight-man shell), and with deep interest in Renaissance art I feel bowled over by this fabulous image. The boat looks like a quad without coxwain, where the rowers each have a pair of small oars, one on the port side, the other on the starboard. In eight-man or four-man shells, each person has one oar, with half of the rowers rowing starboard, the other half port. There is also a coxwain. These are the fastest boats on the water.

the synchronized rowing image of those guys breaking the water stillness is well seen. it mitigates the "monotony" of the river's long stretch and a charm added on that vast view from afar. soft eye pleasing colors from FG to that endless extent!

Hi Carlos,
the thumbnail was alreay impressive but seeing it in full glory it looks even more impressive. The scene is classic, but it is the light and the boat in front which makes this picture very pleasant to look at. Reminds me on a commercial project i did a very long time ago from Venice from the Grande Canal. You could paint much further on the houses, the sky and the water to really boost it up, but i have to admit this one looks very natural in all his beauty...i like it.

Parece más habitual ver fotos del Ponte Vecchio, y no desde el mismo, pero mira por donde... esta imagen es realmente soberbia. Me gusta la luz oscura y un tanto fría, los tonos plateados, pero sobre todo la perspectiva tna profunda y la piragua (creo!) que da un toque de movimiento en un escenario que invita sobre todo a la quietud! Transmite sensación de equilibrio. Muy bella!

Olá Carlos,

Magnífica imagem de Florença, creio que ao por-do-sol. Deste ponto de vista, a cidade parece mais "aberta", mais espaçosa. Gostei do efeito que os remos produziram na água, se percebe perfeitamente o impulso dado pelos remos e o "espaço" em que estiveram fora da água. Um cenário lindo para se analizar os detalhes, com calma.
