Great composition and perfect framing! I love the mixture of black and yellow. But that's that yellow thing under the car?

You broke the rules here Alessandra with the car in the middle of the frame, but the result is excellent! The composition is very effective and pleasant and the colors contrast superb!

Hello Alessandra.
Really glad to see a so graphical shot from you ;o)
The fact you have choosen to center the car was risky but I think you were right here.
The deep yellow of the wall is incredibly warm and beautiful.
Great, my hat off !

Hey Alessandra, it's been a while.
Thank you for this photograph, I like the rich and contrasted colors you have captured. The old car is also well rendered.
The composition is probably too much centered but it works good.

Another nice one ! Here the lamppost is a nice detail. Also the colour on the wall.
Maybe I would have seen another composition with the lamppost, some more in the left or right-corner, but I think you would have do that, if possible here....

Si Gae... Jorrit sarà contento ;D
hi Principessa... did you crop the strange married couple? ;-D... very harmonic compo... in a strange way it's leaning left, but that's only the road...
I like the title ;DDD
I'll make the popcorn ready for the movie of all movies...

Very cool photo, I like the yellow background, but I also wonder how it would look like in b&w or sepia. Great capture!

Ciao Ale - I recognized from the thumbnail that this would have to be the fine old car from one of your first TE postings. This perspective is nice, too, as we get to see the beautiful profile of the car, which makes an appealing combination with the washed-out texture of the yellow wall and not least the lantern. I think the centered presentation works well here - cropping the photo on either side just for the sake of having an off-centered compo would throw things off-balance IMHO. Well done.

Ciao Ale!
Je me souviens de cette voiture qui signalait ton arrivée sur ce site, Ale! Les couleurs sont magnifiques et fait un bel arrière plan pour mettre en valeur cette "traction Citroën" noire. Bien vu!

Excellent composition Alessandra, on the thumbnail I thought it was a miniature car. The point of view, the space surrounding the car is just great, your framing is just perfect from my point of view, beautiful details. Thanks for adding the other view, well done.

This wall is a great colour Alessandra and the simplicity of the composition is wonderful. (I'd crop a bit more from the right though). Your title is fantastic - very apt!

How it is possible to be in right place in right time with right car and right wall with this so right lamp? How much time you spent taking this magnificent shot?

A very simple and yet extremely powerful photo, Alessandra! Excellent title and lovely contrast between the black car and the yellow wall. That lamp also contributes to this very good work, I liked it!

That's nicely theoritically done, we can see you framed with extra care, checked the parallel lines before clicking... a good point for that... but the composition is too stiff IMHO, it lacks the surprise element, something that is not textbook written...
With these regards, I think your other shot you give the link to is much more interesting because the wide empty space is surprising enough.
What could you do then ? I guess getting closer to the scene and trying to capture only a part of the car and include the lamp for instance, all of it against the lovely yellow background...

I disagree, I think the comps spot on. It is rather symmetrical and orderly, but this really suits the smart black car. Great background to the shot, love the lamp!

A fine composition and with elements in harmony - I like the look of that fine old car undet that lamppost - I agree with Norbert - the car a little too centret - it would be better to crop off at the right side - but never mind I like it still - Thanks Alessandra.

Wow! I love it. Colors and texture are wonderful. The scene is great. I only regret the fact that you chose a centered frame(the car would have been great on the right side of the frame (looking at the past). But even with this frame, the atmosphere is amazing.
A great work and fantastic image!

Very nice picture.
In 1968, I had one of these cars, given to me by an old friend. Each time I walked in it, I spent 20 liters of fuel to walk 100 kms, sometimes even more. The confort was good but it was enough to pay fuel and repair parts, frequently broken. So many problems that I had nobody to buy it, I had to offer it to another friend.
Good document of a past time ..
Excellent composition, good records of ambient and colours, congratulations ..
