Photographer's Note
Possibly one of the most photographed pieces of architecture in the world, I took my usual shots of the leaning tower. I then walked right up to the base and looked up. What I saw looked so different. The clouds in the sky also made that point of view dramatic.
This was taken at 18mm 200iso with my favourite travel lens.

This is an awesome shot and a very creative one, since it's one of the most photographed structures in the world! I appreciate that although it was takne during the daytime the lighting is still excellent; not too bright nor too dark or shadowed. The blue sky makes for a marvelous contrast, as it swirls with streaks of white like veining in marble. Great composition and photo!

Hi Geoff,
Before posting my own views from Pisa, I wanted to see how other member saw this ultra multi pirctured town. And I saw your picture. I am surprised than you did not get more comments. Your vision is quite original and very good. It's never easy to show something new about such monument, and you did. You were lucky because the light and the clouds give a good ambiance.
Congratulation for this view
Regards,
Jean-Michel
