Photographer's Note
The Torre del Mangia bell tower dominates the skyline of Siena, with the pastoral Tuscany landscape as a backdrop. The Palazzo Pubblico below the tower houses a nice museum. And the view from the tower onto the Piazza del Campo plaza below is incredible. The tower casts great shadows on the plaza at the right time of day, which I tried to capture in a previous TE photo.
Slightly increased saturation and contrast.

Dave,
Great picture with a nice point of view. I like the contrast between the brown color of buildings and the blue color of the sky.

Dave,
This is a very nice photo. The color and lighting are great with nice depth. The contrast of the clay colored building against the blue sky is super.

The contrast you have created is mindblowing. The PoV is perfect to enjoy the City of Siena. Great work TFS.

Hi Dave,
your gallery is very varied, comprising different styles and subjects (unlike certain point-collecting TE members, whose galleries are made by shots that are all the same...).
Nevetheless, I can not avoid to award a prize to an Italian picture. Colours, sharpness and composition are well balanced and the subject does the rest. Congratulations, Dario
