Photographer's Note
That's a view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (also know with the German name of Drei Zinnen).
We were on the Misurina Plateau, at more than 1750 meters. Close to the yellow hotel on the middle of the image there's the wonderful, omonymous lake, completely frozen and covered by the snow.
In the summer time the Tre Cime have a fantastic reflection on the water surface.
We were on the route to Milan, after a wonderful week spent on the Dolomites at the Passo di Monte Croce di Comelico, that is located on the other side of the Tre Cime.
The past saturday, on the back way, we did a small tour on the upper side of the Cadore and the south-eastern part of Alto Adige, along a wonderful little street that runs down from the valley at 5-600 meters, up to the pass at over 2.200 meters.

Pretty shot, Paolo, of this plateau, with the road leading the eyes. You were right to give a large area to the fantastic busy sky. Regards, Daniel

Hi Paolo,
Leading lines toward the magnificient mountain. Very good contrast considering the whiteness of the snow ... also I find overall resolution sharp. Excellent! TFS

Ciao Bello,
So tell me, how was the snow ? I go in 2 weeks :-)
Not too luminous on this one, but a clear view ansd a good perspective of the road leading to the background peaks that we certainly could see as well in Günther's gallery...
Buona giornata,
Jean-yves

Hi Paolo
Good composition thanks to your pov on the road leading up to the building and mountain. This along with the fences give so much depth. The cloudy sky is just how I like. However, the colours and light seem dull and the image is not very sharp which is why I did a little WS for you.
Regards
Nikki

Welcome back from your trip Paolo.
I like the low POV and the way the perspective carries us into the frame. I like the staggered composition of the main elements with the road balanced by the twin mountain peaks.

Della neve vera finalmente, senza andare troppo lontano...
Ottima lunga prospettiva e fa molto piacere vedere un paesaggio nevoso anche a marzo, complimenti Paolo.
Buona settimana

Ciao Paolo. A nice winter impression from your recent trip to the mountains. Good use of the road and fences to build a perspective line into the photo, and a pleasant view towards the Drei Zinnen. The low-placed horizon versus the rather huge amount of cloudy sky works quite nicely.

a very good winter shot Paolo,
the low horizon is doing well by the road, the perspective leading us to the mountains, very good pov and nice photo job here.

Ciao Paolo,

Bella inquadratura e bellissima luce.
E' da tanto che non vado da quelle parti ma le conosco bene: la mia ex è di Calalzo ;)
A prestissimo...

Hello Paolo,
I like compositions including roads!
Probably why I do so many myself too, hehehe...
Attractive mountain winter scenery, well composed with a good lead-in the the house and summit in the back!

Very nice composition, and depth. The long road, the colors of blue sky with the white clouds, and the white snow are wonderfull.

Hi Paolo,
You chose your POV well here, with the road slightly off centrre and directing the eye straight toward the hotel and mountain. The hotel's yellow hue really introduces an unexpected and effective additional colour to this winterscape. I also like the graphism provided by the fences on the left and right. A crisp clear shot. Well captured...later.

Ciao Paolo,
It's been a long time since I stopped in your gallery (I have a lot less time for TE since a few weeks), but I happen to come across this photo and it made me laugh because I have almost the same one! ;o)
This is a classical view of Misurina with the Tre Cime in the background, but it's a view that I really like because when I'm there for real, it means that the next day we will be doing some great skiing in the Cristallo area! ;o)
I like your framing that leaves a large part to the sky.
Have a nice Sunday.
Brigitte
