SMOKING LAKE, a photo from Padua, Veneto

Seed in the Euganean hills, nearby the old village of Arquà Petrarca, running with the first sunrays in a cold morning (-4°).
Even the lake 'smoke' (i was also 'smoking', but because i was sweat... and out of breath!) ;-))

Classic use of chiaroscuro. Picture has wonderful feeling of depth along with many interesting shapes and variations of light and shade.

Giorgio, se verrai per la Stramilano o per la maratona che si corre qui da noi fammelo sapere. Sarà mia premura prepararti un degno banchetto per il rifornimento di metà gara (pane e salame, San Colombano doc, cioè l'unico vino che si produce nella nostra provincia, ecc). Purtroppo qui più che nebbia c'è smog ma l'effetto fotografico dovrebbe essere lo stesso. Bella immagine visionaria. La prossima volta taglia quei cavi prima di scattare! Noto anche che ai piedi della montagnetta sullo sfondo a sinistra c'è una ciminiera in funzione: sarà che anche quella causa l'effetto smoke?.

great DOF, jsut a pity it gets over exposed looking in to the distance, nice shot though and well seen, it looks a very nice day! but very cold!
