Photographer's Note
I really liked how light the water is on the left and then the darkness of the gondolas and water on the right. I don't even really remember taking this picture so i can't really say much about it. I would just like to hear some feedback.

Nice picture. I tried to make a WS to get rid of the bright area on the left. Let me know what do you think ..

witness of time, there is contrast in that picture, old and new, hard and soft, restored and old, well exposed and bright.
You made the right choice in exposing the facades.

Nice shot (maybe because I'm going back there next week I'm biased), but the bright area to the left spoils it a little. I've posted a tighter crop that gives the shot more balance.

Nice scene photographed at the "wrong time of day".
The sunlight is quite strong here, making the contrasts excessive. Would be nice to have the time to photograph this scene at dawn or twilight.
I spent a few minutes wiht this image in Photoshop dodging and burning areas to even out the tones.
I too fiddled with channel mixer to look at a greyscale version, but opted for the colours instead.
Better, but far from perfect. See the workshop.
