Hello,
I'm sure that many of you know well this famous view on the Vatican and the Ponte Sant'Angelo seen from the Ponte Umberto I. Being in Rome I also wanted to take this opportunity and try to catch the scene during a blue hour. Hope you like this 400th posting of my gallery:)

complimenti per questa splendida foto colta poco dopo il tramonto.
Il posto lo conosco molto bene e non può suscitarmi meraviglia, però non posso che constatare la perfezione tecnica della ripresa nella quale la nitidezzae la gestione delle luci è eccezionale, tale da permettere la visione di ogni più minuto dettaglio.
Di grande efficacia il cielo che ancora conserva i baglioni di un tramonto ricco di toni caldi.
Bravissima.

Gratulacje z okazji 400-go zdjecia!Znakomity wybor na ta okazje.Faktycznie widok,ktory jest znany i chyba jedno z tych miejsc ktore trzeba sfotografowac bedac w Rzymie,ale to nie zmienia faktu,ze zdjecie jest rewelacyjne.
Niesamowite jak rozne swiatlo potrafi zmienic oblicze tej sceny(ja mam podobne zdjecie zrobione o zachodzie slonca-na rozowo).Tutaj pieknie kontrastuja ze soba jeszcze blekitne niebo i podswietlona architektura.

A classic view, bathed in golden light and a beautiful long exposure time. The lines of light on the smooth water are magical, as is the glow of the shot itself. Many details to love here, including the lit statue up in the trees, and the last bits of sunlight taking blue hour away with them. Gorgeous work, Gosia!

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. Using a tripod and a shutter speed of 26 seconds is showing the details and colours of the buildings of the Vatican. It has also a special effect on the colours. Have a nice day.

And you celebrate this event by means of a wonderful blue hour shot, where we can enjoy all the beauty of the architecture of the Vatican and of the Sant'Angelo bridge, from a good POV and with a perfect management of light and colors.
I love these golden tones of the lighting of the buildings and of its reflections on the water.
The f/22 and the 26sec. of exposure time are a clever choice for a beautiful achievement.

This golden Vatican image is certainly a masterpiece!
The golden glow covers almost the whole river. The contrast with the blue sky containing some dark clouds is wonderful.

looks like a jewel shining in the blue. amazing visual effects using well the shapes and colors. I crossed that bridge under rain while coming back to my hotel in the last moments in rome. I wanted to take a nocturne view like you but I was ever so tired after walking many km and it was almost impossible wait more.
