La Basilica di San Gaudenzio è famosa per la sua cupola, alta 121 metri e opera dell'architetto e uomo politico Alessandro Antonelli che, dopo vari progetti, riuscì a costruire questa opera innovativa poco prima di progettare e costruire la più famosa Mole Antonelliana simbolo di Torino.

I checked that there are very few pictures from this city and the most photographed place is just this wonderful dome. Fantastic architecture. I wonder if it is possible to climb it to see the view?

This dome is enormously impressive, a real masterpiece, and it is well shown from this angle. The light is perfect and gives us a very clear view of the many details. The blue sky provides a perfect background.

una foto del San Gaudenzio, è magnifica per il solo fatto di esistere!
a parte gli scherzi, Novara non è proprio Firenze in quanto a turismo e questa bella cupola è un po' da tutti dimenticata, ma Antonelli sapeva come "alzare" gli indici di gradimento dei suoi edifici.
Bella, che si staglia su cielo blu.

J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage vertical. Il donne une très grande ampleur à cette très belle tour à colonnes ronde.Par contre, tu aurais pu couper la tache noire au niveau supérieur gauche.

A fine upward pov on this impressive dome of the basilica. Nice repetition of the columns and good warm cold color contrasts between the blue sky and the red bricks. Reasonable sharpness too. Tfs!

Strange but I can not remember ever having seen a picture of this beautiful basilica.
The dome is a real masterpiece.

Superb capture of this impressive and tall dome of the basilica. The sunlight was wonderful and brings out the warm colours at their best, especially as seen here against the blue sky. Splendid sharpness too.
