Photographer's Note

Natisone river valley: the shot is taken perhaps 3-4 km at north of Cividale del Friuli (town of perhaps 12.000 inhabitants founded 50 a.C. from the Roman Julius Caesar with the acient name of 'Forum Julii' after which the whole actual 'Friuli' region is named).

This area 'Colli Orientali del Friuli' (oriental hills of Friuli) presents a quality wine production of almost 2.000 hectars of vineyards, for the rest i personally have seen extensive wood and cultivated chesnuts trees.

The river flow in a 'canyon' relatively narrow and 20-30 metres deep.

The wind coming down from the mountains was so strong that i have been in trouble even only for to do stand still!
The mountains you see covered of snow are in Slovenia (mt. Matajur)
I like the bucolic appareance of this place, i hope you too! (the photo don't make justice to the realty...)
