Lucca has lots of wonderful food shops and this is just one of them. If you look in the large image you can see many of the mouth watering goods they sell. I wish there were more shops of this kind in England, continental countries seem to do them so much better!

Hi David,I would have definitely stopped, the Tuscan cold cuts and cheeses are undoubtedly worth buying, maybe you will remember my photo of the cold cuts that I recently posted from Norcia. Nice advertisement for Lucca and I am glad that you too have appreciated and would like some shop like this in your country, great photo despite the dark light. Hello David,
We don't really see any of the delicacies I am sure are found in this shop, but through the open door we get a hint of the exciting deal that is possibly going on at the desk. It's a good kind of "sneak preview" which should have been followed by a close-up in a WS.

I remember seeing a few shops like this and surprisingly a glorious chocolate shop open on Good Friday. A good photo of this one with its local produce.

This does look like a shop worth visiting.
Your composition, using an open door, makes the whole shop warm and cosy, and invites us in.
There is just enough of a reflection in the window to add more depth and interest.

In my humble opinion, Italy has the best food in Europe, and it's consistently great right around the country. Looks like a good spot to enjoy some snacks and sandwiches. Excellent sharpness and a tantalising glimpse inside the shop. Tfs!
