Photographer's Note
The National Monument to Vitor Emanuel II is a monument in honor of Victor Emanuel II of Italy, the first king of unified Italy and considered the father of the Italian homeland. It is located in Rome between Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill and was designed by Giuseppe Sacconi in 1885. It was inaugurated in 1911 and completed in 1935.
