Ice on the Roof, a photo from Rome, Lazio

Photographer's Note

At last the winter is arrived also in our country, this night is a night of full moon and the temperature is enough low, tomorrow morning I will see the signs of the winter presence in this little ice on the roof of my car-cover down in the garden.
Image taked few days ago from the balcony of my kitchen, place of many views and posts on TE, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

Great repeating pattern, wonderful textures. Fun how you can clearly see how the warmth of the sun melts the snow on one side but not the side in the shade. Bella--

Excellent shot! Absolutely delightful and interesting; the graphic aspect and the sharp shadows require a second look to really understand the orientation of the light and the icy tiles we’re not used to see.

The colour blend of dark orange and purple is awesome. Very cool photo! Great subject! Impeccable results!

Interesting to see snow in Italy while I whine lack of it here in the north. You probably know that I'm a fan of repeating patterns. Also on this one they work well, warm and cold colours alternating. I wonder if it would be more catchy with a lonely bird on the roof.

ottima la prospettiva diagonale, il taglio e naturalmente la grafica. Io la proporrei anche come test per per l'impiego in qualche professione che richiede grande senso d'equilibrio. Io per esempio potrei essere escluso a priori e in tempi brevi, visto che mi basta fissare l'immagine per tre sec., per sentirmi "squilibrato". :))

The compo is intensely graphical..the snow definitely has a great impact visually contrasting with the shadows. The angled light throws up the colour of the tiles well. Very original in the diagonal composition. Thanks also for the links to allow us peep through your kitchen window

Ciao! E' una foto abbastanza classica, tuttavia resa benissimo. Apprezzo molto la luce radente che crea una bella ombra presso le giunzioni dei coppi e soprattutto la brina sul lato in ombra.
Come se non bastasse il bello di questa foto è che il basso del tetto in realtà è in alto!

Solo adesso mi sono messo a spulciare un po le tue foto.
E devo dire che avrei dovuto farlo prima.
Vi sono molte foto stupende (ed il tuo punteggio lo conferma) e alcune delle quali sicuramente nelle mie corde.
Questa ad esempio e la numero 5 che hai segnalato nella nota.
Io adoro le foto che graficizzano il soggeto fino a renderlo simile ad una textur di un programma di grafica in cui il tema riempe pienamente ed uniformemente il fotogramma e potrebbe virtualmente essere ripetuto all'infinito. (alcune mie foto come "pbbpddp" o "Faces of the desperation " lo confermano")
In questa foto poi, la luce radente dona l'effetto 3D (un po come la classica impronta della mano su la sabbia che fotrogafata con luce radente sembra a rilievo).
In definitiva:

BRAVO e TFS

Open your theme with so many beautiful views from your home and i can imagine your lovely place, this shot really got my attention with this graphical pattern. I see this picture almost like a perfect modern painting in the comercial galery. Nothing can be critique....perhaps this is shot one of your best pictures. Congrat my friend...
