This is a jasmine close to my home and it's the time of flowers for it, I use this image to send to you my best wishes for a Happy Easter.

Jasmine or Jessamine (Jasminum) is a genus of shrubs and vines in the Family Oleaceae, with about 200 species, native to tropical and warm temperate regions of the Old World. The majority of species grow as climbers on other plants or on structures. The leaves can be either evergreen or deciduous, and are opposite in most species; leaf shape is simple, trifoliate or pinnate with up to nine leaflets. It is also a moderately common english name, usually for girls.

Jasmine flowers are generally white, although some species have yellow flowers. Unlike most genera in the Oleaceae which have four corolla lobes ('petals'), jasmines often have five or six lobes. They are often strongly and sweetly scented. Flowering is in spring or summer in most species, but in a few species, notably J. nudiflorum, in winter on the bare branches of this deciduous species.

A great close up of the jasmine blooming like crazy! I like the way is is divided in two parts, one side flowers and one side buds... the green leaves add another color... light, colors and sharpness are perfect!

Ciao Vinicio!! Che gioia il gelsomino, bellissimo metà in boccio (rosso) e metà bianco.
Devo andare a controllare quale tipo di gelsomino sia questo. Anche io ne ho uno tutto in fiore proprio adesso, dentro la veranda, che riempie di profumo e di gioia tutta la casa.

jasmine is so special to me as it means cyprus to me... every house there -including ours- traditionally have jasmine at the main entrance of the gardens and women collect the young flowers to make necklesses with them in the morning to blossom till noon... the smell takes me to my childhood memories...

C'est ce genre de vue qui nous fait apprécier le retour de la saison des fleurs et des parfums, le printemps.
